She's the bubbly TV presenter whose eccentric sense of style is enough to lift any mood. But Fearne Cotton has bravely offered fans a glimpse into her inner turmoil - a troubling battle with depression and how she's working to overcome it.
In her new book Happy, the radio DJ, 35, admitted she felt 'drained, anti-social and alienated' during her darkest days and credited her rocker husband Jesse for supporting her.
Fearne explained that the depression struck when she was working as a morning presenter at Radio 1 several years ago. 'I had a real lack of energy,' she revealed. 'I felt so drained and my lust for everything that I love wasn't there any more.
'I'm very optimistic by nature, I wake up in the morning and I'm very excited about my day, I'm so pumped and enthusiastic about the smaller things in life and that was dead.
'Everything was a drag and felt heavy. I felt anti-social, cut-off, alienated and they were massive warning signs. Everyone has that lightbulb moment that they need to do something differently, but for me it was feeling stuck.'
The blonde beauty admitted that radio presenting was 'draining' as she tried to go about her day while disguising her inner turmoil.
'It was a tough time,' she admitted. 'But it was probably quite helpful, getting out the house, communicating with people, even if it is on a surface level and I think that slowly does help you.
'My job became a hindrance and a help. It was very draining, but at the same time it was possibly helping me in the right direction. Having one thing that feels quite normal, when everything else is chaotic, is quite healthy.'
Eventually Fearne, who shares two children - Rex, three, and Honey, one - with Jesse, decided to face her problem head on and see a doctor.

The latest episode of Fearne On Fashion has been online for two days now, so the majority of you might have already checked it out yet. Unfortunately, the episode isn't even five minutes long. I'm really sad they seem to get shorter and shorter since this series is so insightful about the modern fashion industry and the different point of views from the designers or whoever else behind the scenes. If you still haven't seen episode number four, you can go HERE to watch it and also read more about Matthew Willamson and his career.

One more advantage of Fearne On Fashion is that we never have to wait too long for the next episode. The third one is really lovely. Fearne is helping people finding an outfit toward the end of the video, and all their outfits look super cool. Wish I had been there. Go HERE to see the latest episode.

So, the second episode of Fearne On Fashion dropped, and though it's quite short (they all are, unfortunately), I just love it. Fearne looks so gorgeous and this series is just too funny. I'm also surprised by how friendly all these fashion people are, but then again you can't be anything but friendly talking to Mrs. Wood, right?! By clicking HERE, you'll get to the second episode.

Recently, I found some very beautiful photos that were probably taken for Fearne's Glamour column. I can finally share them with you.
